Make Positive Judgments

When you have to look at a situation or person and make a judgment
or guess as to what is going on, always try to look at it from the
best possible angle.
For example, when someone does you a favor or says something nice
about you out of the blue, and you have no idea why, you could
think that person must have an ulterior motive, or you could
just assume that the person means it from the bottom of his or her
heart. Try choosing the latter.
A psychologist once remarked that we are better off trusting every
single person we meet, and getting lied to or betrayed once in a
while, as compared to being wary and distrusting towards everyone.
Remember, people are innocent until proven guilty.
When we always choose to look at things, at life, at the world, at
people, in a negative light, we become cold, hard, cynical and
alienated. In the process, we become unhappy.
On the other hand, people who choose to look at everything in a
positive way experience a very warm outlook of life, and the end
result is happiness.
No matter what, there are always good things and bad things. Many
times, though, it's just a matter of how we look at it.
