Too often, work for us is such a drag, such a dreary experience. Monday mornings are especially difficult.

Work becomes mundane and meaningless. By itself, it means nothing. Just doing it for the income, a means to an end.

It doesn't always have to be this way. Of course money is important. That's the reality of this world. But when you compromise what you really want to do, you lose a part of you.

On the other hand, work becomes a part of you, an extension of you, when it's in an area which you really feel for. It isn't even work anymore. You are being paid for a hobby.

Considering the number of hours we have to spend at work every day, it's amazing how many people don't try harder to find something which they really like.

Between a handsome salary in a meaningless job, and only a comfortable salary in a meaningful and enjoyable one, I'd choose the latter. Any day.
